Founded in 2010 by DUPRI scholar Sunshine Hillygus, the Duke Initiative on Survey Methodology (DISM) is an interdisciplinary initiative that aims to enhance research and teaching in survey research methods.  DISM aims to:

  • Improve survey research at Duke by providing core survey support services
  • Expand training in survey methods
  • Contribute knowledge to the field of survey methodology.

DUPRI and affiliated DPRC and CPHA scholars have full access to a broad range of workshops on planning and conducting survey research. DISM also provides direct consultative services to researchers and students on specific projects.
