Nicholas Carnes, Sanford School of Public Policy assistant professor, provoked discussions by American Public Media’s “Marketplace” and others in May and June with his “thought experiment” on the prospect of a millionaires’ political party. In early July, a paper by Carnes on farm subsidies also garnered coverage by the Toronto Globe and Mail and Washington Post.
